TSMC : The Semiconductor Game-Changer

  You know, there's this company called TSMC, short for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, and they're pretty much the kings of making semiconductors for companies that don't actually manufacture them themselves. TSMC was founded by a guy named Moris Chang, who used to work over in the U.S. at Texas Instruments.   

  Now, here's a bit of history for you - Taiwan had to fend for itself without being able to make deals with many other countries. See, China wasn't too thrilled with countries that wanted to work with Taiwan, so they kind cut off those economic ties. It left Taiwan in a tight spot.

  So, what did they do? Well, Taiwan was determined to survive, and that's when Moris Chang had this brilliant idea to cut down the costs of making semiconductors. Back in the late 20th century, most companies had to manufacture their own semiconductors in-house. But that came with a hefty price tag - buying machines, securing space, hiring a bunch of workers, and more. It was a real money pit. So, TSMC jumped into this uncharted territory, and now they're sitting pretty as the number one semiconductor fabrication company in the world. It's like their shield against China's economic pressures.

  Now, here's the cool part - developed countries like the U.S. and Europe, despite having to keep an eye on China, have shown support for Taiwan. They've got a bunch of fabless companies that design the brains of semiconductors, you know, the logic part. And they rely on TSMC to keep their businesse running smoothly, whether it's for space tech, the internet of Things(IoT), smart mobillity, and a whole lot more. TSMC is basically the backbone for all that cool tech stuff we use every day.

Making it by themselves caused so many costs of buying machines, territories and employing workers and more. Therefore, TSMC dived in this blue ocean and now they are the no.1 fabrication all over the world. This has become a shield protecting them from China. The developed countries like the U.S, Europe claimed that they would support Taiwan, despite of having to keep their eyes on China. Those countries have a lot of fabless that design logics for semiconductors. They need TSMC to keep going with their business, such as space ship, IOT(Internet Of Things), smart mobilities and more.
